Results of the BSM 2014 summer survey
16 September 2014
Our 2014 summer survey was set to all members of the Black Scarf Movement. There were 11,543 responses – an overall response rate of 61%. Once again this represents the largest published summer survey response from an Arsenal supporters’ group.
Survey highlights
We have previously spoken to Ivan Gazidis about safe standing, requesting that the club take part in a trial at Emirates Stadium; this came after 91.5% respondents in our previous atmosphere survey (where over 17,000 fans took part) backed the idea. Needless to say this is still very popular among fans. Also extremely popular is our ongoing work with supporters’ groups from other clubs – one such initiative where we met with Richard Scudamore of the Premier League and this resulted in each Premier League club having to allocate £600,000 (spread across three seasons) to help away fans.
We have communicated the full survey results to Arsenal and have requested that they meet with us to discuss the findings, as well as other issues being communicated to us by fans. We will keep our members informed of progress.
